Art and framing story

Monday
I’ve just finished shooting an art & framing story.

My taste and penchant for perfection outweighs my handyman talents and I have a whole new appreciation for the ‘art’ of well aligned, perfectly hung pieces. Don’t get me wrong, with the four pairs of hands & eyes and a whole lot of blu tac we did a mighty fine job of it but from now on I’ll preferably be selecting the art and having a professional hang it.

It was really interesting to explore all different facets of art arranging, searching far and wide for complementing furniture and accessories, and mixing original artist’s work with more mainstream print pieces to make it accessible and more affordable.

Along with all the packing, hanging, set building, tweaking, and flower arranging we managed to fit in delicious old school burgers for lunch with a side of star spotting… Pat Rafter, Natalie Bassingthwaighte and a couple Make Me a Supermodel contestants were swanning around, very busy and important but friendly all the same.

I’m bursting with framing and art inspiration now and want to try it out in my own home… I’ll have to convince my husband first.
