Dorryce’s colourful abode in Sydney’s eastern suburbs showcases her creativity and passion for updating antiques and found objects.
Decorating Style I don’t buy many things new. Most of my furnishings have been collected or revamped.
Palette I love bold, feminine colours so I painted this room in a custom-mixed pinky red from Dulux. The grape-coloured carpet also looks sensational with the bright-green furnishings in my dining room.
Artwork This is one of mine from a collection called Flourishing. It’s a testament to my love of florals.
Candlesticks My friends think you can never have enough candlesticks! My collection started with some family heirlooms and has grown because people keep giving them as gifts.
Resin vessels I adore everything Dinosaur Designs!
Books I have a Jackie Onassis fetish and own every book on her that I know of.
Rabbit I bought this money box for my granddaughter but, as you can see, it still hasn’t left my house.
Sofa I needed a shade other than pink to bring the look of this room together so I chose a deep-red velvet for my sofa.
Little Chair This is from my gilding phase. I did it up for my niece 13 years ago.
Armchair This is special to me as it’s an old chair of my mother’s, which I updated in a hot-pink suede from Mokum. dorryce@dorrycedesigns.com. Text by Elle Lovelock. Photography by Maree Homer.
