'tis the season
Thursday
It’s Christmas and I’m sitting at my desk eating Valentine’s Day chocolate hearts from a press release that was sent in this morning!
Personally, I’m in denial about Christmas this year for some reason, I’m so terribly behind. I’ve been so preoccupied by work, shoots, more shoots, new product launches, layout changes, meetings, you name it. The shopping has just begun, the tree only made it up last night, I haven’t even decided on a theme for the wrapping and I’ve only played two Christmas Carol CDs - which is unheard of. Usually by now my husband is begging me not to replay Harry Connick Jr again or he is busy hiding the Mariah Carey album (shame on me)!
2008 has been a great year, I’ve loved all of the stories I’ve worked on, had a many a laugh with my colleagues, enjoyed venturing into world of blogging, exhausted all of my best ideas and creativity and next year looks to be even more promising, I can’t say anything yet, you’ll just have to wait and see. After a much needed holiday over the festive season I’m sure I’ll be bright eyed, bushy tailed and ready for 2009.
As you already know, I love the Dulux dog so this really made me smile when it popped into my inbox this afternoon. Have a look for yourselves and make sure the computer’s sound is on.

Merry Christmas.
Three tips for decorating your Christmas tree
Always start with the tree lights, then garlands or tinsel and finally the decorations.
Hang ornaments according to size and colour. Large before small and dominant, bold colours before soft colours, whites or metallics.
Never leave the top of the tree bare, it’s the glory moment, the special final touch. You may have a family heirloom star, an angel your child made in school, or a favourite new buy, but if all else fails a beautiful coordinating grosgrain ribbon is always a classic look.
